With the Letter service, private individuals can send letters wherever they want. Letters can contain anything from a simple greeting to a light item. Letters can weigh up to 2 kg and can be posted in any of our mailboxes or handed in at a service point.

Send letters domestically in Sweden
Stamps, envelopes, and packaging with paid postage can be bought in the webshop. Letters can be posted in any of our mailboxes or handed in at a service point.
Sending international letters
All types of stamps can be used. Stamps with no denomination have the same value as the postage for a 50-gram domestic letter. Stamps can be purchased in the webshop. Write “Prioritaire” on the envelope or use our special cliché. Post the letter in any of our mailboxes or hand it in at a service point.
A unique item ID-number and corresponding barcode shall be attached on a letter containing goods and which is sent outside EU. For faster and smother deliveries you can easily pay, create address labels, customs documentation and customs EDI and print the documents with the help of Skicka Direkt. Letters with item ID-number are not traceable. It is important that you write the senders name and address on the letter, otherwise we cannot send the letter to the receiving country.
Delivery time for letters
The delivery time varies between different countries. Letters are usually delivered within two business days in Sweden. Deliveries are made to European capital cities within two to five days. Check when your letter may arrive.

Practical information regarding international letters
Air cargo
Pursuant to the 2010 EU Directive, shipments transported by air have to be X-rayed to comply with air safety rules. If the X-ray does not provide sufficient information about the contents of the shipment, the shipment is sent using a different mode of transport, such as a rail or road. If that is not possible, the shipment is returned to the sender.
Customs information
When sending products to destinations outside the EU, you have to enclose special customs documents. When you purchase postage in Skicka Direkt the customs documentation and customs EDI will be created simultaneously and will be sent to the receiving customs. Handling in customs in the receiving country will then be faster. Customs procedures outside the EU.
