What is Express Parcel?
Express Parcel is a service for companies that want to send parcels weighing up to 20 kg to addresses in Sweden with extra-fast delivery. We pick up the parcel from your premises and deliver it to your recipient’s door or drop it off at a service point of your choice. The recipient receives notification via email or SMS before the parcel is delivered to his/her home or a service point. You can track the parcel all the way.
Delivery
Express Parcels are normally delivered to the recipient’s door no later than 6 p.m. on the first business day after drop-off across the majority of Sweden, with some exceptions. Distribution to recipients along rural mail carriers’ routes is performed as part of the ordinary service.
Changes to Expresspaket – April 7th and August 29th
Due to declining demand and adjustments to our transport structure, the Expresspaket service will be fully discontinued as of 29 August 2025. The first step in this transition took place on 7 April 2025, when air transport between Jönköping and Arlanda was terminated.
Expresspaket can no longer be sent to or from the following postal code areas:
52–59 ↔ 62
52–59 ↔ 77–81
52–59 ↔ 82–88
52–59 ↔ 89–98
Send via Skicka Direkt Business
You can use Skicka Direkt Business to book collection, print shipping documents and generate electronic advance notifications for Express Parcel. In addition, you can generate reports for checking and follow-up. You can also use your own transport administration system (TA system) approved by PostNord.
Additional services
Book a Pickup
Customers who need to schedule a pickup can do so at postnord.se or via PostNord Portal Business using Skicka Direkt Business.
Early Collect
Recipients can collect their parcels from their nearest service point early the next business day. Recipients are notified via SMS when their parcels are available for collection.
Climate compensation
PostNord invests the entire compensation fee in renewable energy production in developing countries. This takes the form of UN-certified CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) projects through the company 2050.
Delivery without a POD
The parcel will be handed over without the recipient having to sign for it in person.
Recipient Freight
When your recipient pays for the shipping. This requires both recipient and sender to be service agreement customers with PostNord.
Goods Insurance
Applies if the contents are damaged or if all or any parts of the contents have been lost. The compensation is based on the value of the item(s).
