Tullverket (Swedish Customs) sets and charges customs duties, taxes and fees in conjunction with the import of goods. This entails an extra cost for you and in some cases, your shipment may be opened and checked. 

In some instances, PostNord acts as the agent and handles the customs procedures in such cases. Tullverket is the body responsible for answering queries concerning the rules governing imports into Sweden.
