With our Parcel Post service, consumers can send parcels to recipients throughout the country – simply and safely. Parcels weighing up to 20 kg can be sent.
How do I send Parcel Post?
It is easy to send Parcel Post using Send Direct. You pay the postage and print out the shipping documents directly via your computer. Then you just hand in the parcel at your nearest servicepoint. You can also pay for the parcel at one of our servicepoints.
Do you not have a printer? That’s no problem, because now you can print out your shipping documents at our servicepoints. Just show the barcode you receive when making your purchase.
For parcels sent domestically, the recipient receives an SMS when it is ready for collection at one of our partner outlets. The parcel is also given a unique identity, so you can easily track it using Track letters, parcels and pallets.
Delivery times vary, depending on the destination of the parcel. Parcels normally arrive on the next business day*. Calculate the time it takes for the parcel to arrive at the recipient.
All prices are based on the weight and volume of the parcel, and these vary depending on how you ship the parcel and to where it is being sent. For parcels with a length of more than 1.2 m, there is a supplementary charge, please see the applicable price list for details. See exact prices in the price list.
Parcels weighing more than 20 kg** can be sent for an extra fee.
Volume calculation when a parcel is sent from a servicepoint
Parcels with a length plus circumference larger than 2 meters are charged as bulky items.
Volume calculation when a parcel is sent via Send Direct
When paying for a parcel via Send Direct, the shipping cost is calculated using the shipping weight, i.e. the highest of the actual weight or the volumetric weight. The volumetric weight is calculated by multiplying the total volume of the item(s), expressed in cubic meters, by 280 kg. An example of volumetric weight is provided below**.

*Deliveries to certain locations may take longer.
**A parcel with the dimensions 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 meters has a volume of 0.125 m3. To calculate the volumetric weight, the volume is multiplied by 280 kg (0.125 × 280 = 35 kg). If the actual weight of the parcel were to be 18 kg, for example, you would pay the shipping price for 35 kg i.e. the largest of the actual weight and the volumetric weight.
