With Varubrev, service agreement customers can send consignments weighing up to 2 kilograms easily, quickly and cost-effectively – in Sweden and abroad.
Letters are traceable within Sweden and delivered directly to the recipient’s mailbox.
With Varubrev First Class, the letter is delivered the day after being handed in within Sweden.
With Varubrev Economy Class, the letter is delivered within three days within Sweden.

Various services adapted to your needs
- If you require fast delivery: Varubrev First Class – domestic and international
If you want fast delivery of letters domestically or internationally, Varubrev First Class is the best choice. Varubrev sent within Sweden are delivered the day after being handed in*. Delivery times for letters to other countries vary depending on the destination country.
*Check when your Varubrev may arrive, there are some domestic exceptions.
- When price is the most important element: Varubrev Economy Class – domestic and international
Varubrev Economy Class is the best choice when the price is more important than fast delivery. Varubrev sent within Sweden are delivered three days after being handed in. Delivery times to other countries vary depending on the destination country.

- When it has to be straightforward to send returns: Varubrev Returns – domestic
Varubrev Returns is the best choice if you want to make it easy for your customers to send a return item. By including a prepaid return shipping slip when you send the item, you make it easy for the recipient to return the letter. You are informed without delay when the return is handed in by the recipient and is on its way back to you. Varubrev Returns is delivered on the first business day after being handed in, throughout Sweden.
How to send Varubrev
Maximum dimensions and weight
Varubrev can weigh up to 2 kilograms. For technical reasons, they may not weigh less than 150 grams or be narrower than 1.5 cm. Varubrev cannot be sent as rolls or tubes.
Packaging and labeling
Adjust the consignment’s packaging to the content so that it is well protected. If you are sending a Varubrev First Class, mark the consignment "Varubrev". Economy Class Varubrev should be marked "Varubrev B".
Invoice documents must be submitted via EDI no later than one hour before handing in.
Booking and handing in
Varubrev are handed in at a business center or at designated drop-off points. See the Drop-off points and postal areas fact sheet for more information. If you intend to hand in more than 2,000 Varubrev at the same time, this must be booked in advance.
Varubrev First Class
Varubrev First Class shipments should be booked by 9 am on the day of handing in at the latest. Bookings can be made via PostNord’s website or PostNord’s customer service, which can be contacted at 0771–33 33 10. Consignments are handed in at a letter terminal or business service center by 6 pm on business days. Hand in consignments at the latest 14 days after sending invoice documentation to PostNord.
Varubrev Economy Class
Varubrev Economy Class has to be booked by 5 pm on the day before handing in at the latest. Bookings can be made via PostNord’s website or PostNord’s customer service, which can be contacted at 0771-33 33 10. Consignments are handed in at a letter terminal or business service center by 6 pm on business days. Hand in consignments at the latest 14 days after sending invoice documentation to PostNord.
Handed in at a partner outlet or business service center, or to a rural mail carrier during normal opening hours. Varubrev Returns have to be handed in at the latest 60 days after sending invoice documentation to PostNord.
Shipments shipped as Varubrev within Sweden are traceable. This means that the shipment is scanned when it is delivered to a mailbox or agent and can be followed via our usual tracking channels. Varubrev sent to other countries than Sweden are not traceable.
|Doorstep Delivery||The Doorstep Delivery additional service means that PostNord, in cases where Varubrev cannot be posted in a mailbox, mail slot or multiple-occupancy mailbox, instead delivers the mail item beside the recipient’s door. A text message and/or e-mail is normally sent to the recipient when the mail item has been delivered to the recipient’s door.
If PostNord assesses that delivery of these mail items is not possible or if the consignee’s address is in rural areas, the recipient instead receives notification that the mail item can be collected at PostNord. This additional service applies to the Varubrev First Class domestic and Varubrev Economy domestic service levels.
|Delivery Advice||PostNord sends the recipient a notification in advance that a letter has been dropped off and is on its way. Recipients in Sweden can receive these notifications by text message or email, and recipients in the rest of the world can receive advance notification by email.|
|Print Digital Return
(together with Varubrev Retur)
|With the Print Digital Return, you provide the recipient with a QR code instead of having to send a hard copy shipping document. The shipping document is then printed out when the sender presents the QR code and hand in the Varubrev Return at a service point.|
