Practical information regarding international letters
Pursuant to the 2010 EU Directive, shipments transported by air have to be X-rayed to comply with air safety rules. If the X-ray does not provide sufficient information about the contents of the shipment, the shipment is sent using a different mode of transport, such as a rail or road. If that is not possible, the shipment is returned to the sender.
When sending products to destinations outside the EU, you have to enclose special customs documents. When you purchase postage in Send Direct the customs EDI will be created simultaneously and will be sent to the receiving customs. Handling in customs in the receiving country will then be faster.
