Online application for new periodical

We look forward to your application for registering your newspaper or magazine as a Periodical. Please read the information carefully, as your newspaper/magazine must fulfil certain criteria to be accepted as a Periodical.

What you should know

Your application to register a newspaper or magazine as a Posttidning needs to be accompanied by a copy of the newspaper's/magazine's certificate of publication (issued by PRV, the Swedish Patent and Registration Office). Furthermore, an issue of the newspaper or magazine should be attached to the application, either as a PDF or printed copy.

If your newspaper/magazine is entitled to VAT exemption according to the 3rd chapter 19§ of "mervärdesskattelagen (ML)", the form Affirmation VAT-exempted periodical (pdf, Swedish only) must be sent by postal mail to:

Foreign newspapers or magazines wishing to be registered as a Posttidning must submit a paper application.
