How and when you receive notification of your mail items depends on with which service the sender has chosen to send it and which recipient choice you have made.
Notification and delivery choices
When your mail item is ready to be delivered, you receive a notification via SMS, email or in the PostNord App. After that you can make delivery choices for your parcel, either on a website or in the app. If instead you receive a letter of notification, you will find information on where the parcel can be collected. In normal cases, the person receiving the delivery signs for it, if the sender or recipient have not requested delivery without signature. If the delivery contains alcohol, the person receiving the delivery must be able to show identification and prove that they are over 20 years old.
Not home when delivery made
If we are unable to deliver, you will receive notification of where you can collect the mail item. You can always follow your mail item using the Track letters, parcels and pallets service or by putting your shipment ID in the search field at the top on this site.
