PostNord to stop receiving EDI information via file flow on May 2, 2024
As part of our efforts to streamline our information flows and improve quality for both senders and recipients, we are modernizing the interfaces for our information flows. We do this by using our API, Booking-API, to send EDI information to us.
This transition will take place on May 2, 2024, so after that date, we will stop receiving EDI information via file flow.
In case you do not have the possibility to integrate to our API, you can turn to Strålfors who have created a solution to continue receiving EDI via file, in the same way as you send today (email to logistics.integration@stralfors.se). You can also use a Transport Administrator who has a connection to our API. If you have your own file flows, these need to be adjusted to the API to be valid after May 2, 2024.
Questions and answers
What is EDI?
EDI enables the customer to generate and transfer important delivery information to us at PostNord.
What is an API?
An API acts as a digital bridge that allows different systems to communicate and share EDI data in a standardized way. Instead of transferring information via EDI files, an API can be used to verify, send, and receive the information - in real-time.
What are the benefits of using PostNord’s Booking-API?
The API validates your data directly and notifies you if anything is incorrect, which means you can ensure that your data is correct. Your recipient will then receive their package on time and at the desired delivery location, leading to happier customers.
We will not be able to have the API connection ready in time, what other options do we have?
To ensure that all customers feel secure during the transition and have time to make the change, PostNord Strålfors is available to help. This offers the opportunity to continue sending files, but this requires a file transfer agreement with Strålfors.
