Valuables
Valuables is a service for private individuals who want an extra secure way to send valuable items. The maximum permitted value for the contents of a Valuables shipment is SEK 50,000. If you are sending cash or other means of payment, the maximum permitted value is SEK 10,000. Shipments may weigh no more than 20 kg.
Shipments are only handed over to recipients on presentation of valid proof of identity and signature of receipt at one of our service points or via rural mail carriers. They must be collected by the recipient or by an agent who been granted power of attorney by the recipient. As the sender, you can see when the shipment has been signed for and handed over to the recipient.
If the recipient is a company, a public authority or another organization, the authorized company signatory or authorized agent must sign for the shipment.
Delivery
Valuables shipments are delivered on the following business day for service agreement customers.
Instructions for weapons
If you are sending weapons, the main section (ideally locked) and the vital section must be sent in separate shipments. It is not permitted to send explosive ammunition loaded with gunpowder, carbonic acid or flammable liquids. If you are sending weapons, you are obliged to comply with the Swedish Weapons Act.
How do I use this service?
Create a label for your Valuables shipment in Skicka Direkt Business or another TA system approved by PostNord. You can also use a franking machine. Valuables shipments must be handed over to one of our service points or your rural mail carrier. Retain the receipt you are given when you hand the shipment over.
To send Valuables shipments as a company, you need to be a service agreement customer.
