Power of attorney

When the recipient cannot sign for their items themselves for some reason, a power of attorney is required. Power of attorney is used by both individuals and companies.

To collect Rek (Registered Mail) addressed to a company or another legal entity, a registered power of attorney is required.

Registering a power of attorney

As a business customer, you can register a power of attorney in our business portal. The power of attorney is stored in PostNord’s system and linked to the company’s organization number.

You can also register a power of attorney by completing the company power of attorney form (PDF). Submit it at your nearest PostNord DropOff.

The power of attorney must be submitted at least 1 week in advance and registered before it can be used to collect items.

Validity

A power of attorney is valid for up to five years. It becomes valid upon registration and must be renewed after its validity period. All powers of attorney can be managed in the Business Portal.

Revoking a power of attorney

You can revoke a power of attorney:

In writing, using the same form that was used for registration (instructions are on page two).
Through the PostNord Customer Portal.

The revocation must be made in writing by an authorized company signatory.
