New Consolidated Terms and Conditions Appendix for Our Parcel Services
Starting 1 January 2026, we will introduce a consolidated Terms and Conditions appendix for the parcel services PostNord Parcel, PostNord Home, PostNord Service Point, PostNord Parcel Locker, and PostNord Return.
This appendix replaces the previously separate documents and gathers all information in one place. It will be easier for you as a customer to find the right information, compare services, and understand what applies to your deliveries.
Home becomes more harmonized and allows for tailor-made deliveries
We are making home deliveries more uniform and flexible in Sweden, Finland, and Norway. With new additional services, you, as the sender, can adapt and increase the safety of the delivery to the recipient´s needs at three levels:
- With PostNord Home, the package is left in the mailbox or at the door, without a receipt.
- Want more security for your delivery? You can select add-ons such as:
- Attended
- Signature Assurance
- ID Check (available in Sweden and Norway)
- Enhanced Identification: For special delivery requirements in Sweden, you can add Age Check, Enhanced Identification, and Tobacco.
Smoother parcel delivery in the Nordic Region with a secure delivery code
We are making parcel deliveries easier throughout the Nordic region. Instead of ID or BankID, the recipient uses a secure and unique code to collect the parcel. This simplifies the pick-up process and meets the recipient’s expectations for a fast and smooth delivery.
- Service Point: The parcel is collected using a scannable code. The code is unique and sent separately to the recipient.
- Parcel Locker: The parcel is collected via the PostNord App, which works as a digital key and opens the locker.
If you want the recipient to verify their identity, we offer the additional service ID Check. This applies to deliveries within Sweden and Norway. To make sure the code reaches the right recipient, please ensure that the contact details in the transport EDI are correct.
Available for Service Point, Parcel Locker, and Home.
Name change: PostNord Return Drop Off
PostNord Return Drop Off is changing its name to PostNord Return. You will use the service as usual, but now with the same name and terms throughout the Nordic region.
New Fees for Parcels Exceeding Product Terms
We want to make it easier for you as a customer to have better control of your shipments and avoid unnecessary costs. That is why we are introducing uniform fees throughout the Nordic region for parcels that exceed weight or size limits. At the same time, previous fees will be removed.
Oversize applies when a parcel exceeds our terms but can still be delivered. The fee can be combined with Special Handling.
Oversize Return applies when a parcel cannot be handled according to our terms and therefore must be returned. The fee is charged together with the shipping cost.
Oversize Parcel Locker applies when a parcel exceeds the terms for delivery to a parcel locker, but can still be delivered to a service point.
The fees are uniform throughout the Nordic region.

2D Code Introduced for Periodicals and Catalogues
We are introducing the option to apply a Data Matrix 2D code to periodicals and catalogues instead of the current postal operator zone. The 2D code applies to the services Periodicals A and Periodicals B, as well as periodicals and catalogues sent as Addressed Direct Mail.
Learn more about the 2D code in our instruction or contact your Sales Representative or our Customer Service.
New Pricing Model for Mail Shipments
We are changing the pricing model for mail shipments and removing zone-based pricing for the services First Class Mail, Economy Mail, Addressed Direct Mail, and eBrev. The new categories will be sorted shipment and unsorted shipment, aimed at simplifying things for you as a customer and making it easier to predict the cost of your shipments.
You can find our complete price lists for 2026 here.
No Longer Permitted to Send Goods via Registered Mail International
Due to new international regulations, it is no longer permitted to send goods using the Registered Mail International service. If you wish to purchase a postal parcel service with insurance, you can use International Parcel. If you do not require insurance, Tracked Letter is a good alternative.
Please note that the Registered Mail International service for documents remains unchanged and will continue as usual.
