Gender equality and diversity at our workplace

Our aim is to be a modern, open and developing workplace. No matter who you are or where you come from, all PostNord employees are to be treated equally.

A mix of different people

In our organization, everyone has the same chance to develop and to have their say. We are convinced that this is how we will become a more attractive workplace and, in turn, a more successful organization.

PostNord is home to a broad mix of backgrounds, competencies, cultures and languages. Of our staff, around a third are women and two-thirds men. Around a fifth are under 30 years of age, while two-fifths are over 50.

Gender-equal and inclusive recruitment

We are committed to recruiting staff from different backgrounds and with different life experiences – because we are keen to benefit from what everyone has to offer. Throughout our history, we have been a company distinguished by great diversity, employing people with a variety of nationalities.

To encourage as many people as possible to apply to work for us, we write our job vacancy advertisements in a way that makes more people feel included. We also work actively to retain and develop a diverse group of internal successors and talents.

Inclusive work culture

In order to achieve an even better understanding of how diversity and equal opportunities affect our work culture, and how they can be integrated smoothly into our corporate culture, we hold training courses for our senior executives and managers. At present, 65 percent of our managers have completed inclusion training.

More women into managerial positions

A large part of the work to promote gender equality involves bringing more women into managerial positions. We already have a large proportion of women managers – 33 percent – but we want even more. Our goal for gender equality is for women to account for between 40 and 60 percent of our managers.

A part of succeeding in this aim entails us always advertising all executive, manager and project manager positions internally and externally, and conducting competence-based interviews.
