Posten extends the acceptance period for the public offer to the shareholders of Strålfors

In connection with Posten AB's public offer to the shareholders of Strålfors AB (the "Offer"), Posten has applied for approval of the transaction from the Swedish and Norwegian competition authorities. The Norwegian competition authority has approved the transaction. The Swedish competition authority has notified that it will present its opinion on the transaction no later than 12 May, 2006. Such opinion may, however, be presented earlier.

Posten has therefore decided to extend the acceptance period for the Offer to 4 May, 2006, inclusive. Provided that Posten consummates the Offer no later than 12 May, 2006, settlement to those shareholders who have accepted the Offer is expected to begin on or around 19 May, 2006.

The conditions to fulfil the Offer also applies during the extended acceptance period. Posten reserves the right to extend the acceptance period further, as well as to postpone the settlement date.
